In the Leningrad region, a car passenger set the car on fire after it was stopped by the traffic police. In this respect informs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region Main Directorate.

The incident occurred on March 31 in the village of Bolshoe Kuzemkino. The traffic inspector stopped the VAZ-2104 car, which was driven by a 21-year-old drunk local resident. In the car with him was a 24-year-old man with signs of drunkenness. The passenger of the passenger car went around the car, opened the trunk and set the fuel spilled from the plastic drum there on fire.

The traffic police reported the incident to the police department in Kingisepp district, the arriving law enforcement officers detained the arsonist. Regarding the driver, a protocol was drawn up under Part 1 of sec. 12.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation from driving in violation of the rules for installing state numbers.

The passenger is the police officer of Article 20.21 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. He was taken to the section where he prepared a protocol (appearing drunk in public). The next day, a criminal case was brought against him under Part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate destruction or damage to property), the man was detained.
