In Kovrov, the driver tried to eat drugs during the arrest, informs Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Vladimir Region.

Traffic investigators stopped a Nissan car driven by a 31-year-old local resident who was showing signs of drunkenness and acting strangely. According to the results of the analysis for toxins in the driver’s urine, the presence of mephedrone was revealed.

Traffic inspectors when drawing up a protocol in accordance with Part 3 of Art. 12.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, the driver tried to destroy and eat the contents of two polymer bags with powder, which he kept with him. Police confiscated the bags, an examination revealed that they found 1.74 grams of mephedrone.

A criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal drug possession”, the driver is released on bail.
