The motorcycle season in Russia usually starts in April, but even if the temperature has already risen above zero, the asphalt is not yet warm enough to drive the motorcycle safely.
Car expert Jan Haytseer explained what extra precautions motorists should take in such a situation.

There are no stable positive temperatures yet, where both the tires and the asphalt are warm enough to control the bike and allow the braking distance to be normal. Until the asphalt has warmed up, the motorcycle is unstable when braking.
In addition, motorists “forgot” about motorcyclists in winter, they do not turn their heads in order to better notice them and not accidentally cut them off.
The expert advised motorcyclists to wait for warm weather and motorists to keep a close eye on the situation on the road.
But motorcyclists rush to the road, it is difficult to restrain them, so motorists should be more careful, look in the rear and side mirrors, do not make sudden maneuvers and alterations in order to avoid emergency situations.
