Petersburg Leninsky District Court extended the detention of Andrei Kolenko, charged with a crime under Part 1 of Art., for 72 hours. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, informs joint press service of the city courts. The investigation seeks detention from the court. Kolenko is accused, he admits his guilt.
“The request for an extension of detention was made by the prosecutor to provide the court with additional evidence confirming that a preventive measure in the form of detention should be chosen,” the report says.
According to law enforcement officials, on March 24, Kolenka, driving a Dodge RAM 1500, was driving along Lermontovsky Prospekt at 50-60 km / h, entered an irregular pedestrian crossing and knocked over two 11-year-old schoolchildren.
As a result of the accident, children of moderate severity were taken to the hospital. It turned out that the driver was referred to administrative responsibility 89 times in 2022 and 2023.
