The developer of the new protective camouflage, called “Shield”, is the company “Armaks”.
According to the general director of the organization, Mikhail Zakroev, the disguise has already been tested, showing very high efficiency.
“Shield” is a film that covers objects, be it armored vehicles or fortifications. The environment is then projected onto this film. That is, it is also very problematic to visually notice an object disguised for thermal imagers. Mikhail Zakroev compares technology to a fake lens.
Our technology allows the “Shield” to hide thermal objects below itself from thermal imagers. The drone flies, sees the ground, knows where the person is, flies around, but doesn’t see the object. A man emerges from under the “Shield” – the drone detects him. Objects hidden under the “Shield” are not visible even from space. It seems like some kind of magic,” TASS quotes the general manager of Armax as saying.
Now the company plans to send a proposal for further testing and subsequent deliveries of the Shield camouflage film to the RF Department of Defense.
