Dealers start selling Chinese-made Volkswagen Lavida in Russia

socialbites.ca has learned that car dealers have begun to supply new Volkswagen Lavida sedans from China to the Russian market. Related announcements are posted on electronic “boards” and on the sites of car dealerships, cars are sold by dealers from Moscow and the Moscow region.

Russians are offered several modifications of Volkswagen Lavida: restyled second generation (from 2.1 million rubles) and an updated version of the third generation (3.3 million rubles). In the Chinese market, both versions are offered at the same time.

The second generation Volkswagen Lavida is built on the old platform of the concern (PQ34) and has been produced in Shanghai since 2012. It is available from car dealerships with a 1.5 engine with 113 hp. and automatic transmission. In the cabin, imported sedans do not have a multimedia system, and the equipment list includes halogen headlights, rear parking sensors, Start / Stop system, air conditioning, power windows and six speakers.

The third generation Lavida sedan was introduced in 2018 and is based on the modern modular MQB platform. In 2022, an updated version of the model was released in China, it was delivered to Russia with a 1.5 engine (150 hp) combined with a DSG “robot”.

The package includes LED headlights, digital instrument cluster, 12-inch infotainment display, climate control, electronic handbrake, sunroof, parking sensors, rear view camera and other options.
