Raisa Ivanovna, 86, from the city of Bor, believed the scammers who demanded large sums from her, reporting a relative who had suffered a serious accident. The pensioner wrapped the accumulated money in pillowcases – 400 thousand and 500 thousand rubles each. She gave paid pillow cases to the taxi drivers sought by scammers.
One of the taxi drivers, Bobirzhon, sensed that something was wrong, and on the way he stopped at the traffic police station and told the police what had happened. Law enforcement officers found 500 thousand rubles wrapped in cloth and went to the taxi client’s address, but at that time he was no longer there. Police are investigating the case and looking for the perpetrators.
