Mikhail Matasov, deputy general director of KAMAZ for interaction with government agencies, expressed outrage at the prices of Chinese trucks, because their customs value is 50-60 thousand dollars (3.8-4.6 million rubles) and they are sold for 110 -120 thousand (8 4–9.2 million rubles).
At the same time, Matasov noted that KAMAZ products are equal in price to the cars of Chinese competitors. This is due to the availability of after-sales service, as well as an increase in costs due to the complexity of logistics. At the same time, the localization was brought almost to the level of the Soviet one.
KAMAZ plans to produce 9,000 regular trucks by 2023 and take over half of the market. The sales volume of Chinese competitors in the company is estimated at 4,000 cars.
