At the end of 2025 or early 2026, Porsche will introduce the fully electric Cayenne. Although the model should be updated in the course of this year, the electric version will be built on a different platform.
The “trolley” called SSP Sport was developed by Porsche itself. According to unofficial data, the electric Cayenne’s power plant will produce more than 600 horsepower and the battery capacity will exceed 100 kilowatt hours, which will achieve a range of about 300 miles on the EPA cycle.
The Cayenne will be Porsche’s third model to go electric. The Macan is expected in 2024, and the 718 in 2025. By 2030, the company wants to reach an electric vehicle share of more than 80% of new cars sold, i.e. these versions will become the most important.
