Do the Russians trust the navigator and why they are used the most, the experts of the SberAvto service and the Rambler & Co media holding company found out.
85% of survey participants use a navigation device: 38% of them start it when driving on an unfamiliar route, 23% use it every day for help, 16% turn it on when they go on a long journey, and 8% if they have to avoid traffic jams. 15% do not use a navigator.

Where include:
- on a mobile device (76%),
- on a separate navigation gadget (12%)
- on the panel built into the machine (4%).
Only 34% follow all navigator instructions, 49% prefer to double check the route proposal. 11% focus only on the end point and drive without assistance from an assistant, and 6% completely ignore the system and drive in a different direction.
49% of Russians periodically talk to an electronic navigator: 23% scold the system when it makes a mistake with the route, 11% comment on the proposed options, 10% discuss the traffic situation with the navigator, and 5% try to outdo the assistant and are happy when they arrive faster in their own way.
76% of respondents are not completely satisfied with the quality of the navigator’s work, due to the fact that it provides a confusing route (38%), reports maneuvers late (13%), indicates traffic jams inaccurately (7%) and poorly oriented in courtyards (7%), hangs (6%) and ignores markers (5%).
More than 150 thousand respondents from all over the country took part in the survey.
