Passenger car queue at EU border tripled in Belarus

The Belarusian border service reported that the queue for cars at the EU entrance at the country’s borders increased threefold over the weekend, while the queue for trucks increased by one and a half times. As of the morning of March 13, 270 cars and 580 trucks were in line at the Belarusian exit.

Since March 10, the clearance of trucks at the Lithuanian checkpoint “Medininkai” and the Polish – “Kukuryki” (“Kozlovichi”) checkpoint has slowed down. The Polish checkpoint allowed 55% of trucks from the norm to cross the border, Lithuania – 32%.
