The Omoda brand, owned by Chery, will begin sales of the new S5 sedan in Russia in the next two months: late April – early May. As the Omoda press service said, the novelty is designed for both private and business customers – a simplified “fleet version” has been prepared especially for them. Such cars will be deprived of some standard equipment options and will be able to supplement the taxi and car sharing fleet.
According to OTTS, a Chery Arrizo 5 Plus (6 Pro) assembled in China will be brought to Russia. The differences are only in the bumpers and grille. The front-wheel drive Omoda S5 is equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces 113 hp. and variator.

In size (length – 4644 mm), the car is a classmate of the well-known Russian motorists Kia Cerato and Hyundai Elantra.
As for the cost of the new sedan, it has not yet been officially announced. In China, prices start at 79,000 yuan (860,000 rubles at the current exchange rate). Previously, experts suggested that the cost of a car in the Russian market could reach about 1.6 million rubles.
Now the Omoda brand in the Russian market is represented only by the C5 crossover, sales of which began in October last year.
