Chinese brands lead the Russian market for three weeks in a row. informs Analytical agency “Avtostat” with reference to the data of JSC “Passport Industrial Consulting”.
From March 6 to March 13 this year, about 4.8 thousand new passenger cars of Chinese brands were sold in Russia, accounting for 39.7% of the total. Domestic cars, on the other hand, ranked second in the market with a share of 36.4% and 4.4 thousand units. Third in popularity among cars of Korean brands (1245 units; 10.3%).
Among the brands, Lada continues to lead (4.1 thousand units; 34.3% share). It is followed by three Chinese manufacturers – Chery (1353 units; 11.2%), Haval (1196 units; 9.9%) and Geely (876 units; 7.3%). Kia closes the top five (666 units; 5.5%). In the top ten were added Hyundai, Toyota and UAZ, as well as two brands from China – Exeed and Omoda.
Among the ten best-selling models in Russia were seven Chinese models at once. It was created by Lada Granta, Lada Niva Travel, Haval Jolion and Geely Coolray, as well as Lada Niva Legend, Omoda C5, Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, Geely Atlas Pro, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro and Haval F7x.
