The increase in summer tire prices this spring could be as much as 50%, said Yang Haytseer, vice president of the National Automobile Union. According to him, the price increase is already visible, but not as significant as yet.
Heitzeher explained that the price increase is due to the restrictions of Western countries and the withdrawal of foreign companies from Russia. Some materials for tire production, especially premium class, simply do not exist in Russia, the auto expert added.
*This material was created by a person who has the status of a foreign agent in the Russian Federation.
We will not provide ourselves with premium wheels. Presumably prices for a more massive segment have increased by 20-30%. Chinese manufacturers are partially leveling the situation. It can be assumed that there will be a price increase of 20-30% for the changed terms, somewhere up to 50% will probably suffice,” Heitzeer warned.
At the same time, he advises motorists to postpone changing from winter tires to summer tires until a stable positive temperature sets in.
