In 2022, the number of international driving licenses (IDPs) issued will increase from 82.6 thousand to 179 thousand. Such certificates are required to drive vehicles abroad.
For comparison: in 2020, 68.3 thousand were issued. However, in the “pre-Covid” era, displaced persons were received more often: in 2019 – 215.8 thousand units, in 2018 – 182.2 thousand.

Experts believe that this is now due to the mass migration of civilians abroad in connection with a special military operation.
The active development of motor tourism also had an impact. Only now people have changed direction and began to travel in their cars to the countries of Central Asia, Mongolia and China. Ticket prices have increased and some tourists are starting to use their own transport.
