In 2022, Russian citizens issued about 180 thousand certificates for driving abroad. In this respect informs “Kommersant”. It is recorded that this is twice as much as a year ago.
Experts interviewed by the publication said that the increase in the number of issued international rights is associated with the emigration of Russian citizens abroad on the basis of a special operation in Ukraine. In addition, Russians began to visit other countries more often with their cars. This is due to the widespread use of car tourism, as well as expensive airline tickets.
Experts also noted that according to the results of traffic police exams in 2022, 1.35 million Russian citizens received 12% less driving licenses than in 2021.
