Functional prototypes of Russian electric vehicles will be presented in the third quarter of 2023. This was reported in the Ministry of Digital Development of Tatarstan, transmits interfax.
The Atom product range is planned to include Duo and Family models, as well as taxi and delivery versions. Electric vehicles will have a range of up to 500 km and a top speed of 170 km/h. The declared energy efficiency of electric cars is 0.14 kW/km. It is assumed that new product sales will start in 2025.
It is stated that the Atom team includes more than 400 engineers, designers and IT developers. The headquarters of the company is located in Naberezhnye Chelny, and also in Moscow, St. It has offices in St. Petersburg, Tolyatti and Nanjing (China).
With data RTVI, Atom, plans to spend $20 million to purchase Ford Motor Company’s idle factory in Naberezhnye Chelny. It was noted that the cars were named “Atom” after agreements with Rosatom, which is working on a factory for the production of batteries for electric cars on the territory of the Baltic NPP.
