The government plans to offer disabled people the opportunity to park for free in paid parking lots. They still have this right, but only in special places. The bill also proposes to allow them to park their car for free anywhere in a paid parking lot.
To approve the initiative advocated by deputies Oleg Smolin and Artem Prokofiev, it is necessary to amend part 8 of article 13 of the law on traffic management. It draws up a list of cars for which parking fees are not allowed. These are mainly vehicles for special services.

According to the initiators of the bill, there are often not enough spaces for the disabled in paid parking lots, because they are often occupied by other cars. And disabled people have no choice but to either park for free in a place that is far from a clinic, for example, or to pay for general parking.
