Over the past year, 31% of Russians have increased their car maintenance and repair costs by 15-20%, another 29% have started spending 25-30% more, analysts from IC Rosgosstrakh and the Autocode service for checking and select used cars discovered. .
A third of the respondents admit that they have not previously saved on repair and maintenance of the car, but have now started doing so.
Saving on spare parts is necessary not only because of the price increase, but also because some original parts are difficult to obtain or because waiting for delivery takes several months.
Ways to save Russian car owners call the following:
- refusal to travel long distances by car – 14%
- refusal to use the car daily – 23%
- repair a car yourself – 43%.
- self-maintenance of the car – 46%
- buy cheaper consumables – 49%
- minor body repairs postponed until later – 50%.
About a third of Russians are also trying to find cheaper options for an OSAGO policy.
