Fake traffic police officers appeared on the roads, who, along with car invaders, deceive drivers and extort significant amounts of money from them.
In general, the auto-separation arrangement is standard. Car dealers in an expensive premium car with a broken mirror or a scratched and dented bumper are looking for a victim. Usually on highways. One of the scammers’ cars overtakes the “victim”, then changes lanes and slows down, prompting the motorist to change lanes.
At this time, another car appears in the adjacent lane, simulating a collision. The driver hears the sound of a body impact. They try to convince the “victim” that an accident occurred during the turn to the adjacent lane. In reality, however, the criminals simply throw a rubber ball, which generates this thud.
And then it’s up to the little one: convincing the victim of guilt. And here a pseudo-police officer enters the arena, whom the car invaders allegedly transferred to the on-duty traffic police department.
His task is to convince the victim of guilt by telephone, emphasizing that he allegedly wanted to leave the scene of the accident. Meanwhile, one of the henchmen sneaks up to the car unnoticed and scratches the bumper or fender with sandpaper, simulating a collision.
Having become a participant in such a performance, a person usually gives money on the spot. And that is exactly what criminals want. On average, such a divorce cost 120-150 thousand rubles.
In order not to become a “victim” of car substitutes, do not lose your temper and do not respond to their emotional attacks. It is best to lock yourself in the car and call the traffic police. If scammers see a person not giving in to their game, they lose interest and leave.
