Hyundai Indian unit in video for the first time showed gave details about the new Solaris sedan model locally called Verna.
The new Hyundai Verna/Solaris will increase in size compared to the previous generation model, with dimensions of 4535x1765x1475 mm and a wheelbase of 2670 mm. The company said the interior of the car has become wider, thanks to an increase in the wheelbase by 70 mm and the width by 36 mm. The trunk volume of the sedan will increase from 480 to 528 liters. The car received double-block headlights and a strip of diodes connecting them to the top of the grille.
In India, the Verna will be powered by a new 1.5-liter direct-injection turbo petrol engine that will be paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Also, the lineup will include a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine with either a mechanical or a CVT.
Previously reportedHyundai Verna/Solaris will debut in India on March 21 this year.
