It took VAZ almost a year to transfer production from the plant in Lada Izhevsk to the main production site in Tolyatti – the capacity is higher and more in line with market demand, the company’s management believes.
Now the final adjustment of technological processes is underway, and in May the first mass-produced cars should go along the Togliatti conveyor.

– Despite the prefix NG (new generation), this is not a new model, but a restyling. Changed bumpers, grille, headlights became LED. Inside – a new instrument panel, steering wheel, door cards.
Technical innovations were not originally planned. But in the new reality they have become unavoidable. Initially, a 90 hp 1.6 eight-valve engine will be installed under the hood, which was not previously offered.
Versions with 16-valve engines appear in late spring – early summer. Well, the return of the modification with the variator will not take place until next year.
