Tatyana Redko, director for government relations and corporate relations at the Moskvich plant, suggested using scrap for the development of new cars.
She appealed to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce during parliamentary hearings in the Federation Council.
“In this case, my call has been sent to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to consider the possibility of holding an additional meeting, because the issue of 100% compensation for scrap is important, including for our company, to overcome the shortage of resources, and we provide a fairly new mechanism regarding the possibility of reinvesting scrap into production as part of a new model range,” said a representative of the Moscow Automobile Plant.
