German company BMW Group plans to start producing hydrogen cars by the end of this decade. This was announced to thetimes.co.uk by the company’s head of technology, Jurgen Guldner.
“We will start production of such vehicles in the second half of this decade. “I’m convinced the future is hydrogen,” Guldner said.
According to the publication, BMW could be the first major company in Europe to start producing hydrogen-powered cars. There are two hydrogen-powered vehicle models on the market today. These are the Japanese four-seat Toyota Mirai sedan and the Korean crossover Hyundai Nexo.
