In Germany, a hunt has been announced for phone applications that show the location of traffic cameras (these are prohibited by German traffic regulations). And the punishment for this is severe.

In late January, police in the city of Heidelberg stopped a speeding car. When checking into the cabin, a smartphone was found on the center console, with the display facing the passenger, and in it the same application with cameras.

The phone belonged to the passenger, who according to the driver used the application. But the driver was still fined 100 euros and one penalty point.

The man tried to appeal the decision to the court, but in vain: the judges supported the earlier decision. As a result, the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court ruled that if a passenger uses a camera tracking system, the driver will be fined.
