After the closure of the “Bobrovniki” border checkpoint on the Polish side of the border, the accumulation of freight trucks to enter EU countries from Belarus increased 10 times. This was reported by the Belarusian State Border Committee (SBC).
The queue gathered in front of the only remaining checkpoint for heavy vehicles from Belarus to Poland.
“After Bobrovniki’s closure, the truck accumulation in front of Kukuryki has increased 10 times,” GPC said in a statement.
Pawel Jabloński, Former Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland declarationthat the country’s authorities can completely close the border with Belarus, if the security situation so requires.
On February 9, Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminsky said that the Polish authorities, based on the interests of state security, decided to close the Belarusian border crossing in Bobrovniki. On this occasion, the Belarusian side expressed its reaction to the Polish side.
