A prototype road surface resistant to extremely low temperatures has been developed in Russia. In this respect informs Referring to the press service of the National Technology Initiative (NTI), RIA Novosti. It is noted that the coating is made on the basis of plastic, which is made from bags and packages.
“The composite material can withstand the influence of extremely low temperatures, traffic load, winter operation, while the road surface does not develop defects,” NTI said.
The coating is durable and crack resistant. Its cost per ton, according to preliminary data, will be 4.5-6 thousand rubles.
The new technology was developed by scientists from the Perm National Research Polytechnic Institute.
