In Moscow, traffic police officers stopped a driver with license plates that did not come out of his car. The check revealed that the number plates are fake, i.e. they have not been made by the manufacturer in the manner prescribed by law. In addition, there were mutilated characters.
The court found the car owner guilty under Part 4 of Art. 12.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle in violation of the rules for installing state registration marks on it) with a denial of the right to drive for six months.
An attempt to appeal the decision failed. The offender said that the car was given to him by his father, and when re-registering, no one told him that the numbers need to be changed, and the court said that the driver must check that the license plate is in compliance with the registration certificate and on the car.
