On the evening of February 21, the police received a message that gold was stolen from the Ural truck of the courier service. The attackers broke the padlock on the body and stole two sealed gold bars weighing more than 61 kg. The value of the stolen goods exceeded 200 million rubles.
Later, law enforcement stopped the Nissan car used by the robbers. There were three residents of Chita in the cabin, they were detained. The suspects admitted that they stole the gold and buried it in the roadside land between the village of Novaya Chara in the Amur Region and the town of Tynda. Police went to the scene and found the stolen ingots.
It turned out that the attackers knew the method of transporting gold from the mine to Kalar district and prepared for the robbery in advance. So they tried not to meet with local residents, spent the night in a car in the woods and cooked food on the fire. After the theft, one of the thieves changed his clothes and shoes. A criminal case has been opened in accordance with Article 158, Part 4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, and it is decided to detain the suspects.
