From February 23 to 26, mass checks will be held in different regions of Russia for drunkenness and raids on drivers announced regional departments of the traffic police.
In particular, traffic inspectors in the Penza region, Yakutia, Ivanovo region, Ryazan region, Rostov region, Novgorod region, Kabardino-Balkaria, Irkutsk region and Bryansk region announced that vehicles were stopped en masse and the density of traffic police teams increased. Also, in the traffic police of Smolensk, Orenburg, Kirov and other cities, drivers were promised a raid.
“Within the scope of continuous inspections, traffic police stop all vehicles on a certain part of the road and evaluate the situation of each driver. Special attention is paid to the presence of signs of drunkenness, ”the traffic police said.
