The real estate of a former traffic policeman in the Leningrad region was converted into state income, informs district attorney’s office.
From 2014 to 2019, a former employee of the UGIBDD of the St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region built a residence and a garage on his plot in the city of Sertolovo, and also began to build another house. Law enforcement noted that the total cost of the premises exceeds the legal income from the labor activity of the former traffic policeman and the sale of his property.
The first-instance court, considering that the proceeds from the construction of the other two objects were legitimate, ordered only the repurchase of the unfinished house. Later, upon the lawsuit filed by the prosecutor of the Leningrad Region, the court overturned this decision and ordered the withdrawal of all three objects.
“The court decision has entered into legal force, its execution is under the personal control of the district prosecutor, Sergei Zhukovsky,” the prosecutor’s office said.
