Production of anti-lock braking system (ABS) for cars will start this year in Russia. In this respect informs TASS, referring to the words of Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
It is stated that ABS production in Russia should start before the end of 2023. At the same time, Manturov did not specify a specific month when the installation of ABS may again become mandatory for domestic cars.
The Government of the Russian Federation has extended the simplified requirements for vehicle certification until June 1, 2023. Thus, it is allowed to produce cars in all environmental classes from Euro 0 to Euro 5 and not to install an anti-lock braking system (ABS). Also, automakers are not required to install emergency beepers on cars manufactured before August 1, 2022.
