When buying new cars from dealers, Russians no longer face the imposition of additional equipment. This was told socialbites.ca by representatives of the largest Russian dealer holdings Avilon and Avtodom.
As Roman Timashov, Director of Services for Avtodom Altufievo, noted, car dealers chasing customer traffic in the past have posted the minimum cost of a car and monetized additional services: additional equipment, insurance products, trading, etc. Open.
“It worked when the market was saturated with the same cars, when stocks were overflowing, and there were certain tasks for turnover, market share, and customer return to service,” Timashov said, emphasizing that now the situation has changed.
According to him, he actively encouraged sellers to sell additional services and shortcomings. There are very few cars in stock at the moment and Avtodom is recording low customer activity.
“The cost of parts is high and additional services increase the price, which ultimately affects traffic. Also, cars imported through parallel imports are often richly equipped,” explained the interlocutor.
Renat Tyukteev, Retail Director of the Avilon Automobile Group, Renat Tyukteev notes that there is a similar trend in the car market’s rejection of additional services.
“First of all, I would like to point out that those who impose service imposition at a rate of 95% are “gray” dealers. I left 5% for the official network due to the occasional occurrence of similar cases in open sources, quickly suppressed by the brand manufacturers themselves, ”Tyukteev said.
According to the reporter, the peak of imposing additional equipment on cars from gray dealers has passed, prices are stabilizing. At the same time, according to the Avilon representative, small car dealerships will keep their traditional income in the form of only making outrageously expensive loans. It is offered to consumers who do not have enough legal knowledge and go to such car dealerships because of low prices.
“We can say that there is a need to introduce protective mechanisms in this sector,” said the interlocutor.
