Driving incorrectly over speed bumps, of which there are more and more in every city, can lead to locking wheels, breaking parts and colliding with other vehicles.
Sometimes an artificial obstacle is not marked with a special road sign, or special markings are not visible due to bad weather conditions. In such a situation, the driver has no choice but to brake hard. Then he is forced to drive into the “speed bump” with blocked wheels. This in turn adversely affects the front suspension by shifting the weight of the vehicle forward.
Skipping the bump at high speed can cause the wheels to hit the surface and transfer more energy to the silent blocks and levers, which can fail.
Many overcome unevenness diagonally. In this case, a collision with an oncoming vehicle may occur.
And another mistake – passing bumps on one side of the car with a check-in on the side of the road. In this case, the main load falls on one side of the car, as a result of which the suspension begins to wear out faster there.
Experts recommend passing speed bumps with the front wheels, driving over bumps at the same time and at low speed.
