Foreign cars today are owned by 80% of motorists. Of these, 51% bought their car not new, and 49% – without mileage.

Second-hand foreign cars are bought by employees in the transport sector (15%), industry (13%) and the construction sector (11%). New cars of foreign brands are more often bought by representatives of various industries (13%), professions in the transport sector (11%) and retail trade (8%).

Domestic cars are owned by 20% of motorists. Of these, 55% bought their car new and 45% used it.

New domestic cars are more often bought by employees in the transport and logistics sector (14%), the industrial sector (13%) and IT specialists (10%).

Household used cars are chosen by representatives of construction (16%), manufacturing (14%) and trade (8%) professions.

Only 4% of owners change their car every two years or more. 14% buy another car every 3-4 years.

Once every 5–6 years, 22% of people change their car, and once every 7–10 years 28%. But most people (32%) change their vehicle less than once every 10 years. Such data were obtained by researchers Rabota.ru and SberAvto, who interviewed more than three thousand car owners from all regions of Russia.
