Car prices are rising at an unprecedented rate and no one can predict the timing of the slowdown in this process. Experts from the analysis agency “AUTOSTAT” have prepared an infographic of the growth of recommended retail prices (RRP) in the Top 10 bestsellers of the Russian car market. The data covers the period from January 1 to March 18, although it is clear that the main price spike started in late February.
The most popular car in Russia is the Lada Vesta and recently it has become 30% more expensive; The suggested retail price for the basic version is 1,121,900 rubles. Hyundai Solaris has increased in price by 22.7%, but also by a million (and far) (1,245,000 rubles). Needless to say, the numbers are significant, but not record-breaking.
Renault Duster has become 41.1% more expensive, the current suggested retail price is from 1,618,000 rubles. And Lada Largus has the maximum growth: growth of 48.9%; station wagons are estimated by the manufacturer at 1,235,900 rubles. The difference with the price of January is 400 thousand rubles.
Virtually all of the other participants on the list have increased in price by more than 20%. It is worth recalling that the suggested retail price in the schedule in no way reflects the actual prices in the showrooms of official dealers.
