Five men aged 28 to 37 have been arrested in Khabarovsk, suspected of embezzling an amount of approximately 3.5 million rubles.
Citizens worked in various positions at a car service and, when working with customers, entered incorrect information into a specialized program.
There were several schemes of enrichment: the cost of spare parts and services was inflated, the method of payment was changed. The excess money generated by fraud was distributed among the dealers.
The agents searched the residences of accomplices and found money, mobile phones and data carriers with valuable data for the investigation. Property, including cars, has been seized and will be confiscated to compensate the victim for damages. The victim in this situation is the owner of the service, although it is clear that the customers have been misled.
A criminal case has been initiated on the basis of an offense under Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The persons concerned were chosen for a measure of exceedance in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and correct behavior.
