Electronic Passport JSC, which regulates electronic vehicle passports (EPTS) in Russia and EAEU countries, has launched the possibility of issuing a car purchase and sale contract in the form of an electronic document. In this respect informs analytical agency “Avtostat”.
To draw up an electronic contract of sale (EPA), the seller and buyer of the car must have an electronic digital signature or an account on the Government Services portal. To conclude a contract in electronic form, the seller must register in the e-passport system, then enter the car’s VIN or enter information from paper TCP to download its data from the e-passport. After that, the seller gets the opportunity to invite the buyer to the deal by e-mail. After receiving an invitation, he must save and review the contract.
Also, the functionality of the system provides the possibility of remote control of the car. After the process is completed, the vehicle owner’s information will automatically change in EPTS.
