Agree, when an insolent person tries to drive along the sidewalk, this causes indignation not only among pedestrians, but also among other motorists. Rightly so!
A fine of 2000 rubles is provided for this violation (12.15.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). In addition, it is worth remembering that even the arrival of one wheel on the curb will be considered an offense by the traffic police inspector.

Only in exceptional cases will a motorist who entered the curb not be penalized:
- the car delivers goods to businesses and facilities located directly on the sidewalks and footpaths, provided this is the shortest route and there are no other options to drive up;
- the car belongs to road maintenance and utilities;
- for parking in the yard, if there is no other option or if it is blocked;
- for parking, if the roadway is being repaired or cleaned.
Special vehicles (traffic police, ambulance) also have the right to move along the sidewalk with impunity in the event of an accident or emergency.
