The Rostov Regional Court found the members of the so-called “Amazon gang”, who had previously been convicted of numerous murders, guilty of new episodes of the case and sentenced them to prison terms of 24 to 25 years.
The court decided to recognize Inessa and Victoria Tarverdiev, Anastasia and Sergei Sinelnik guilty and, based on the totality of crimes, finally set the sentence for Inessa and Victoria Tarverdiev in the form of 25 years in a colony of the General Regime, Anastasia Sinelnik – 24 years in a general regime colony and Sergei Sinelnik – 25 years in a strict regime colony,” the judge said.

The gang operated from July 2007 to September 2013 on the territory of the Stavropol Territory and the Rostov region. It included Inessa and Victoria Tarverdiev, Sergey and Anastasia Sinelnik. One of the gang’s crimes was the 2009 murder on the federal highway “Don” of an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from the Nizhny Novgorod region, Dmitry Chudakov, his wife and two small children. In total, the criminals committed at least 10 murders.
The gang was led by Inessa Tarverdieva and her roommate Roman Podkopaev. The traffic police inspector Sergei Sinelnik helped them, pointed out the places and victims of the alleged crimes, helped sell the stolen goods. He also provided a police radio station, which was used to listen in on employees’ radio communications. After another murder in September 2013, the gang was neutralized, Podkopaev died in a shootout.
