Car manufacturers are completely moving away from internal combustion engines to electric vehicles, which is explained by environmental concerns.

But Polestar and Rivian released a report on greenhouse gas emissions from the automotive industry. It follows from the document that in order to radically reduce emissions and thus combat climate change, which the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is constantly striving for, it is not enough just to switch to electric vehicles.

The report’s authors propose fundamental changes in all things automotive. By 2035, cars must be fully electric and charged only with renewable energy sources.

But that is not everything. We need to fundamentally change the production of electric vehicles, which currently produce 35-50% more greenhouse gases than combustion engine cars. The task of reducing emissions is almost impossible, as it requires introducing many new technologies and even abolishing the use of fossil fuels.
