Michelin and DHL Express have agreed to test Michelin Aptis airless tyres. Testing takes place in Singapore.

Airless tires, which are expected to last longer, have made the first step to the shelves, that is, to sales. The delivery service checks them first. Incidentally, Michelin was able to start testing in real conditions earlier than originally planned – for a whole year.

On January 10, 2023, French tire manufacturer Michelin signed an agreement with international logistics company DHL Express to test tires on vans.

Around 50 DHL vehicles in Singapore will be converted to Aptis tires by the end of 2023. This is a light commercial vehicle that delivers packages to the customer’s doorstep.

In June 2019, Michelin announced it would launch its passenger car airless tires in 2024, and it appears to be keeping that promise.

Aptis is an acronym for “Unique Puncture Resistant Tire System”.
