Every fourth car enthusiast between the ages of 18 and 25 gets into an accident at least once a year, according to a study by the Renaissance Insurance Group and Avtokoda.
The chance of an accident with complete destruction of the car decreases considerably after 20 years of experience (0.43%). And for drivers with 30 years of experience, the frequency of “totals” is almost 3 times lower than for a novice driver (0.9% versus 0.38%).

The frequency of claims under the insurance policy directly depends on the length of employment and age. Drivers aged 50+ with more than 30 years of driving experience report 29% less car damage than average. Drivers aged 40+ (with 20 years of experience) have almost the same stats – on average they report insured events 22% less often.
The online survey involved 1,200 people aged 18 and over. The survey was conducted in January 2023.
