National Industrial Information Agency (NAPI) analyzed Maintaining the residual value of popular foreign cars on the Russian market – Hyundai Creta and Solaris, Kia Rio, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Polo and Renault Duster. According to the results of the study, Skoda Rapid liftbacks lose the lowest price after three years of work, and Hyundai Creta crossovers after six years.
According to NAPI, on average, the three-year-old Rapid retains 79.1% of the original cost, Kia Rio – 75.6%, Hyundai Creta – 72%. After six years of work, the Korean brand crossover holds 63.6% of the cost. This is followed by Skoda Rapid and Hyundai Solaris with 58.5% and 55.2%, respectively.
After three years of use, Renault Duster is the biggest loser in terms of price among the listed foreign cars, retaining 68.5% of the original cost. After six years, the Kia Rio (50.4%) was left out of the list.
