If the driver drank several bottles of non-alcoholic beer, the breathalyzer of the traffic police inspector will not show the fine indicators. Andrey Bolonkin, a psychiatrist-narcologist from the Zdravnitsa professional treatment and rehabilitation center, spoke about this in an interview with socialbites.ca.

Bolonkin said that since non-alcoholic beer usually contains no more than 0.5% alcohol (less than kvass), this amount of alcohol in the blood would be negligible compared to real alcoholic beverages. The doctor noted that when 0.5 liters of non-alcoholic beer is drunk, the amount of ppm in the blood will be about 0.04.

“The allowable alcohol limit is 0.16 mg/l of exhaled air or 0.3 g/l per liter of blood. Therefore, drinking more than one bottle will not deprive you of your rights. For comparison, in an average man weighing 80 kg, 0.3 ppm is approximately equal to drinking 50 g of vodka, 200 g of wine or 500 g of beer, ”explained the doctor.

Bolonkin emphasized that in this case it is necessary to take into account the individual characteristics of a person. In addition, if you drink a bottle of non-alcoholic beer just before the medical examination, some alcohol may be detected in the exhaled air.
