People need something to ride on, and someone will need to upgrade their vehicles. High prices for cars continue, while new productions are launched, new starts are planned. Therefore, the AUTOSTAT bureau has revised its market forecast for the current year.
Previously, the pessimistic forecast suggested that 2023 sales would reach 550,000 new passenger cars in 2023 (down 12%). In the optimistic scenario – 780 thousand units (+25%). The base scenario assumed sales of 650,000 cars (+4%).

In the updated scenario, even in the “worst case” scenario, sales of 630,000 vehicles are assumed, slightly above the 2022 level (+0.5%). In the base scenario – 780 thousand units (+25%), and in the optimistic scenario – 870 thousand (+39%).
Experts do not expect production stops and supply interruptions this year, but it is not yet clear how much it will be possible to increase domestic production.
