The Iranian brand Saipa plans to start selling cars in Russia and Belarus. The company plans to introduce three models to the Russian and Belarusian markets – the Quik hatchback and the Saina and Shahin sedans.

“On January 25, 2023, our company signed a distribution contract with the second largest Iranian factory, Saipa. At the moment, the factory itself is engaged in the certification of cars. In about three months, the cars will appear in Russia and Belarus,” said a representative of Lucky Carensi LLC (the brand’s official distributor in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus).

One of the models – Saipa Shahin is already known to the Russians, it was shown last August at the international exhibition MIMS in Moscow. It is built on the platform of Toyota B. The sedan is similar in size to the Kia Rio and Volkswagen Polo. The machine is equipped with a 1.5 liter petrol turbo engine with a capacity of 110 hp.

The cost of Saipa Shahin in Russia is estimated at about 1 to 1.3 million rubles.
