Drivers explained why they were stopped by traffic inspectors

Auto code specialists conducted surveys and found out if the drivers encountered a dishonest traffic police inspector on the way. 33.7% have never met, 22.8% have met once, 20.7% of those who voted constantly encounter dishonest inspectors.

Among the violations by traffic police inspectors encountered by drivers when stopping on the road, they cited the following:

  • stopping without traffic violations – 29.9%
  • exaggeration of possible penalties for violation – 15.9%
  • the inspector did not introduce himself or show any documents – 15.2%
  • the inspector did not state the reason for the stop – 14.6%
  • the driver was not familiar with the protocol – 4.3%
  • the driver did not receive a copy of the driver protocol – 3%
  • rude communication and insults – 3.7%
  • the inspector entered into the protocol, not the offense for which he stopped – 1.8%.

If the driver points out to the inspector that his rights have been violated, he responds as follows:

  • changed the tone of the conversation, became polite – 9.4%
  • started insulting and threatening – 20.8%
  • began to argue and convince that he was right – 54.7%.

1.9% of inspectors apologized and let the drivers go, 9.4% of inspectors apologized and acted within the law.
