The Moscow police, with the help of insurance group SOGAZ, have identified car scammers who are responsible for more than three hundred (!) fake accidents. In 2022, insurers received a number of requests to settle losses in traffic accidents involving a certain Evgeny Afanasyev and Evgeny Samoshin.

In addition, the company was approached by eight companies whose drivers fell victim to the same people. It turned out that they deliberately created emergency situations on roundabouts with an expensive car – usually it was a Bentley Continental.

As the second participant in the accident, who was to blame, they chose drivers in cars of commercial organizations. In addition to receiving insurance compensation, the attackers shuffle the supposedly lost difference between the damage and the victim’s payment. Both defendants are now facing criminal charges.
