According to independent sources, the problem returned to the factory from the end of last year: there are no electric power steering for Lada Granta, as well as several other important items. AVTOVAZ barely dealt with incomplete vehicles in December and collects them again in its internal territories. In addition, the shortage on January 12 forced personnel involved in Grants’ assembly to go home for the evening.
The situation with the shortage of spare parts at AVTOVAZ is commented as follows:
“The factory is operating on schedule, emerging shortage issues are in manual control mode and being resolved,” Sergey Ilyinsky, communications director, replied on the Za Rulem website.
An indirect confirmation of this was a new message from insiders: on Friday, January 13, the assembly of Lada Granta cars resumed. However, everything indicates that the situation with the components on the VAZ conveyor remains difficult.
